I am a 30 year old travel and cooking enthusiast. Eating healthy, staying fit, and experiencing new places and cultures are three of my top passions.
Currently, I live in the Maryland/DC area, but hail from New Jersey and have also lived in Boston - a complete East Coast girl! I hold three degrees, including a masters from Boston College.
You'll probably notice that many of my recipes are geared for lower calorie, lower cholesterol, and/or gluten free. I have genetically high cholesterol, obesity and diabetes run in my family, and I have several friends and family members who must follow gluten free diets. This doesn't mean that meals need to be boring or tasteless, or that I don't enjoy a good comforting dish of macaroni and cheese! I love crafting new recipes and trying others. I really want to add some pictures to my recipes and plan on doing that soon. I do not own a fancy camera or many picture worthy serving dishes, so I am figuring out how to best present my recipes without stealing photos from others. Thanks for your patience!
My travels have spanned 31 countries and 4 continents. I don't currently have kids and am fortunate not to have extensive student loans, so I spend my money on my hobby: travel!
This is my first blog and I hope to share with you some of the many things I have learned across my travels and experiences, as well as to hopefully learn from you!
